Abstract:
Humans read references to gain a better understanding of a topic. In this paper, we propose a system that tries to mimic the human reading process for a given prose. The system can accommodate a deep prose comprehension by discovering the relevant parts from a reference related to the given prose that connect and illuminate a set of learnable concepts from the prose by adding direct meaningful knowledge paths among them. We present an evaluation model to measure the acquired knowledge and the learning process obtained by the system. The analysis of the results verifies that the system succeeded in deepening the prose comprehension.
