Abstract:
More and more technological tools to improve energy efficiency are becoming very important. The generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy is undoubtedly a domain which requires equipment that can monitor it. This article is an effort to enunciate information acquisition technologies, local service, communications, and service platform. In addition, it explains how artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and ontology help to master the energy to improve its supervision and thus increase energy efficiency in cities. Developers and engineers in the electricity sector need to know the new tools that technology gives us to use them in electrical networks, in homes, in industry, and to get their best advantage. Is important for the intelligent cities that the people involved in the generation and distribution of electric power, know and apply these technologies, in addition to achieving interoperability in the energy domain that is needed.
