Abstract:
Biologically-inspired optimization algorithms are robust techniques that can be applied for a wide range of practical problems. A large number of such algorithms have been proposed by researchers, but their implementation is often not available or is done in different programming languages. This paper presents a flexible software architecture of a .NET optimization framework where such methods can be easily incorporated. It includes algorithms that belong to various subfields: from ideas based on human social behavior to ideas based on virus behavior. Using this framework, many modifications and hybridizations for algorithms are also possible.
