Exploration of Cybersecurity Posture: Analysis of Global IP Addresses and External Services in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

Abstract:
The recent surge in cyberattacks and data breaches poses a significant threat to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. In this study, we defined five assessment items and checked companies Global IP addresses, external services—a common entry point for cyber threats. We evaluated 83 companies. In the results, 11 companies (13%) had security risks. Our research methodology could visualize and confirm the existence of companies at risk. This study will hopefully help companies increase their security awareness and improve their security.
