Abstract:
A significant challenge for public sector human resources management in Greece is to optimize the civil personnel recruitment procedure regarding both process effectiveness and perspective employee quality while continuing to enforce, beyond any doubt, the principles of transparency, participation and accountability. Blockchain, perceived as a disruptive technology by design, has evolved beyond traditional payment solutions in the finance sector and offers a potential for transforming many sectors including human resources and recruitment. This paper analyses gaps of the current process of Greek public sector recruitment and describes the expected benefits of utilizing blockchain through a pilot case of QualiChain project.
