Abstract:
Recognition of human activities and situation awareness is a premise for advanced safe human-robot-cooperation. In this paper, a recognition module and its advancements based on previous work is presented and discussed. The usage of Description Logics allows for knowledge based representation of activities and situations. Furthermore, reasoning about context dependent actions enables conclusions about expectations for robot behavior. This work is extensively tested and benchmarked. The presented approach represents a significant step towards a full-fledged cognitive industrial robotic framework.
