Abstract:
We present the system design decisions for the MobileSage prototypes, a service for the on-demand delivery of multimodal and accessible help content to anyone in general and seniors in particular. Findings from user-centered research formed the system requirements, as well as design considerations and decisions. The design of the system also includes availability, relevance, accessibility, conciseness, and comprehensiveness of multimodal content. The prototypes have been evaluated in multiple user trials with good results, showing the participants' high appreciation of such a service and a moderate to high degree of satisfaction with the prototypes.
