Monitoring of Health-Recovery Processes with Control Charts

Abstract:
The paper presents a statistical process control method for monitoring health-recovery processes described by short non-stationary time series. The Shewhart control chart for residuals, based on model averaging approach, is built for differences between values of consecutive observations. The practical applicability of this new approach has been demonstrated using a real-life example of a recovery from a mild hypertension episode.
