IQRF Street Lighting - A Case Study

Abstract:
In this paper, we present main features of IQRF, new communication framework specifically developed for wireless sensor mesh networks and its applications such as intelligent lighting systems. Basic components and functions of IQRF are described. The case study evaluates the existing work on wireless sensor mesh networks for a street lighting scenario and shows number of key mesh network parameters having influence on overall performance of a deployed system. The key parameters were also practically and successfully verified in a test experiment.
