Smart TV – Smartphone Cooperation Model on Digital Signage Environments: An Implementation Approach

Abstract:
Modern pervasive digital signage environments demand capabilities beyond the interaction schemes, frequently implemented throughout personal area network technologies or touchscreen features. Smart TV emerges as an interesting alternative model for public displays and Smartphone cooperation, in order to implement a multi-screen approach that complements the task of ads recommendation algorithms for a group of people watching the screen. This paper introduces an implementation approach for a Smart TV – Smartphone cooperation model in digital signage environments using a multi-screen paradigm.
