Abstract:
We are developing a methodology to combine security and reliability. One aspect of this fusion implies developing patterns that combine both objectives. The Secure Reliability (SecRel) and Reliable Security (RelSec) are hybrid patterns that combine security and reliability. The SecRel pattern applies security to control the functions of a reliable system, while the RelSec pattern applies reliability to the functions that provide security. We show how these patterns relate to our methodology, and in which architectural levels they could be used.
