Domain-Oriented Design Patterns For Service Processes

Abstract:
Business processes in the domain of service procure-ment have the potential to increase efficiency and reduce cost. These business processes are getting more complex since service providers and service consumers collaborate and interact in net-work structures. A precise description, modeling, analysis and execution of service procurement business processes for the im-plementation of process-oriented information systems is re-quired to unlock these potentials and optimize network collabo-ration. In this article, we propose a pattern based approach for business process models to improve this collaboration systemat-ically. The approach is based on patterns of service phases and service modules to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
