Enforcing Security Policies on Choreographed Services Using Rewriting Techniques

Abstract:
This paper presents an automated formal approach for enforcing security policies on a choreography of Web Services. We take as input a formal description of a choreography of web services and a security property represented by a process, then we define some rewriting rules and rewrite the two processes in order to make them synchronize on each communication action. This approach produces as output a secure version of the concerned web service which behaves like the original one but does not violate the security property.
