Abstract:
The gradual development of modern trends with more emphasis on visualization and measurement accuracy have resulted in the continuous improvement of measuring instruments, which are very closely linked to Personal Computers and/or Programmable Logic Controllers to the displaying unit and leads to greater utilization of 3D technology. It is used in security, biometrics, and in many other fields. This contribution is focused on understanding the issues of scanning and its advantages and disadvantages. It serves as a complete overview of the structure of the 3D sensors.
