Abstract:
So far, cyber threats to nuclear power plants have remained an unexplored area. No single cyber attack has been reported that successfully degraded the safety function of a nuclear power plant. However, it is not guaranteed that nuclear power plants are completely safe from cyber attack. This paper proposes a probable attack concept, which can disrupt the real-time and deterministic nature of instrumentation and control systems.
