SIGA3D: A Semantic BIM Extension to Represent Urban Environnement

Abstract:
This paper presents a new architecture dedicated to the management of buildings and urban objects through a 3D digital mockup. We focus on the ontology-based framework of this architecture, and the semantic LoD (Level of Detail) mechanism defined to build dynamically the 3D scene from a set of heterogeneous information systems. This project is developed into an industrial web platform which manages more than 100 million square meters of buildings.
