On Energy-Aware Forwarding Schemes in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract:
The paper discusses two forwarding strategies in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) involving the residual energy of nodes and provides the corresponding distributed algorithms; the routing is achieved without additional routing messages. To reduce excessive broadcasts at the setup phase we consider the impact of the delay time. Simulation results are obtained using our sensor network simulator (SNF).
