Abstract:
Context-awareness is one of the prerequisites in order to design adaptable applications and services. As Wireless Sensor Networks get more pervasive in nature and cater to diverse application they need to incorporate context-awareness. A lightweight sensor node level context processing framework is desirable. A component software programming-based approach has been proposed to design the context-aware architecture. A reference implementation has been provided and potential advantages in terms of low software reconfiguration overhead have been highlighted.
