Abstract:
European machinery products are in great demand due to their reliability. This competitive advantage can be further extended by using wireless sensor network for condition monitoring. Radio sensor nodes constantly monitor the aging of machines and detect faults before the machine fails. This means that time-consuming and expensive downtime can be avoided. A sensor network for the condition monitoring of industrial machines has been developed in the publicly funded project ECoMoS. The implemented sensor nodes are able to predict machine failures until 3 months in advance.
