Abstract:
We will review the latest advancements in Quartz-Enhanced Photo-Acoustic Spectroscopy (QEPAS) for trace-gas sensing. Starting from the QEPAS basic physical principles, we will analyze and discuss the influence of Quartz Tuning Forks (QTFs) geometry on their optoacoustic transducer performance. Subsequently, we will provide an overview of the latest developments in QEPAS sensing technology employing custom QTFs and novel micro-resonator configurations. Finally, we will report on a novel QEPAS approach allowing simultaneous dual-gas detection.
