Abstract:
The paper deals with e-learning within small and medium enterprises (SME). Previous experience of authors within EU-funded projects showed that SMEs need to adopt some organizational and technological measures in order to improve e-learning readiness. In the same time, these measures correspond to the stages in building a lifelong learning (LLL) strategy by using the novel trans-theoretical model presented. The paper then proposes a new approach for LLL within European SMEs, based on cloud computing meant to both facilitate and reduce costs of accessing and management of e-learning strategies, technologies and content. This is a work in progress related with our intent to develop a set of guidelines for SMEs willing to incorporate cloud computing services in correlation with the trans-theoretical model.
