Abstract:
Health care and hospitals services could greatly benefit from technological innovations in many fields beyond the disease treatment itself. For instance the cleaning process deserves a significant role among the services that a hospital must deliver. In this study we explore the fully automated and the traditional (human-based) cleaning protocol, we define its main components and discuss steps and benefits in the introduction of a partially automated solution based on a new robotic system.
