An Approach for a Web-based Analysis Solution with MUSTANG

Abstract:
Analytical Information Systems (AIS) are comprehensive solutions for analyzing large data sets. The operation of an AIS usually requires an extensive infrastructure. Moreover, usually only specialist users are capable of performing analyses. In this paper, we present an approach for a web-based analysis solution which can be deployed either in a web-based environment or as an on-premise solution. We strongly emphasize self service capabilities by adding knowledge-based components in the form of an additional metadata layer.
