Abstract:
This paper describes the design, development and deployment of an “Interactive Mirror”, an artifact augmented with intelligence to demonstrate personalized services for enhanced comfort. The mirror aims at recognizing the user based on image processing techniques and provides personalized services like emotion recognition, health progress representation, event reminder and mirror usage time. The prototype of the interactive mirror was deployed in laboratory environment and the user’s feedbacks were obtained. The face recognition and emotion recognition algorithms were tested and the results are discussed.
