Abstract:
The development of a device command and control infrastructure for Internet of Things devices with a focus on low resource consumption is the primary goal of the research project ”unic2ast”. This paper proposes a simulation environment that enables to carry out benchmarks of this infrastructure according to a variety of application scenarios. The presented simulation setup uses Qemu virtualized embedded devices with an application based on Zephyr OS. The basic suitability of the approach is demonstrated and potentials for further development are identified.
