Abstract:
In application domains where the availability of items changes quickly and often (e.g., the user problem of receiving relevant promotions, events, etc.), users often find it difficult in keeping track of their desired and interested items. Recommender systems are intelligent decision support tools aimed at addressing the information overload problem, suggesting items that best suit a given user’s needs and preferences. In this paper, we present our proposed mobile push-delivery recommendation methodology that is capable of proactively providing recommendations relevant to the user’s preferences at appropriate context. The proposed methodology is implemented in a mobile push recommender system that helps users timely receive their desired product promotions.
