A Solution for Seamless Video Delivery in WLAN/3G Networks

Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce a Session Proxy (SP) into a scenario in which wireless local network (WLAN) and 3th generation of networks cellular (3G networks) are integrated using peer-to-peer architecture, with mobile IP (MIP) as the mobility manager. This solution tries to preserve the quality of the streaming video upon each handover, recovering the user video session damaged by the high delay caused by MIP.
