Abstract:
Context-aware applications that are working in intelligent spaces are taken into account and their properties are analysed. Based on this, the new approach to modelling and analysis of such applications is proposed that provides a separation between application logic regarding adaptation (to the environment) and its implementation. MVC and transition state models are considered. A quantitative measure of context-awareness level and a method of assessment of the adaptation time of the application is proposed. The relation between size of the context and execution time of a sample application is determined.
