Abstract:
Efficient deployment and management have been identified to be key challenges for the acceptance of solutions based on Cooperating Objects (COs). The operations for CO deployment and management can be classified into five phases in each of which several challenges and issues are emphasized. This paper presents the PLANET project whose goal is to tackle these challenges and to provide support for issues regarding large-scale CO deployment and operations. Moreover, two application scenarios, Wildlife Monitoring and Automated Airfield, are considered to demonstrate the capability of the PLANET solution.
