Abstract:
Several applications based on smartphones have been developed for user’s requirements. Among them, the location based services (LBS) are demanding to many people. As a result, location management systems become more important to manage the locations and acquire new information in places because location information can be obtained in diverse sensors. This paper proposes a location management system which manages the information of location and predicts a future location and moving path from the current sensor values. The proposed system consists of five modules. Three modules perform to manage the information of location and user’s context, and two modules predict future information about the locations. In order to show the feasibility of the proposed system, we conducted the evaluation on each module with a real dataset collected from mobile devices.
