Semantic Annotation of unstructured Wiki Knowledge according to Ontological Models

Abstract:
The paper deals with the issue of supporting users to enrich unstructured wiki contents with semantic annotations. The authors present the development of a semantic wiki that provides semantic annotations compliant to ontological models. The semantic wiki developed, called WiWork, is presented with two related ontological models, the WiWork Core ontology and the Labour Market ontology. Finally, a methodology to define ontology concepts and properties is proposed by using Information Retrieval and statistical techniques.
