Challenges to Enhancing Web Accessibility in Saudi University Websites: An Exploratory Study

Abstract:
This paper aims to provide an exploratory study of challenges in enhancing web accessibility faced by web developers of the Arabic language version of university websites in Saudi Arabia. The number of challenges encountered were wide ranging from a lack of accessibility knowledge and negative attitude upon disability issues. In the light of the study findings, this paper presents some recommendations for improving the accessibility status in Saudi university websites.
