Experiences in use Tablet PC to Support Student´s Activities: Five Years of an Exploratory Study

Abstract:
Since 2006 we are studying the use of Tablet PCs in academic environment to support learning activities in and out classrooms. This article resume a five years of Tablet PC use in many learning activities, since 2006 until 2011, describing how this device was used. In the exploratory study, the student deals with some interaction problems that are described here. One conclusion is the difficult to find software for Tablet PC that offer functions to support the broad of student´s activities, but the main contribution is the perception of the usability decrease when use software designed to desktop PC in Tablet PCs.
