Abstract:
Intravenous drip infusion is a common method of administering medication. However, it is difficult for a nurse to continuously monitor the administration since it can take more than one hour. It is difficult to instantly detect problems such as removal of a drip infusion administration set by a patient or an empty bag. We propose an intravenous drip infusion monitoring system equipped with body area communication tags that can instantly detect such incidents.
