Euro-NF PhD Course: “Main Trends in Teletraffic and Economic Modelling”

Current Position

Associate Professor at the Department of Communications of the Universitat Politècnica de València.

I hold a PhD degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), Spain (1997). I worked with QPSX Communications, Western Australia, developing the first DQDB (predecessor of IEEE 802.6) products. I joined the UPV in 1991 and since then I have been working with the Broadband Interconnection Research Group (GIRBA).

Research

My current research interests are in the area research interests are in the area of performance evaluation and traffic control for fixed and cellular multiservice networks.

We were members of the EuroNGI and EuroFGI Network of Excellence (Design and Engineering of the Next Generation Internet) and currently members of the Euro-NF Network of Excellence on the Network of the Future.
