Where can I download the latest version of HybEx?
In this webpage there's a "Downloads" section where you can download the latest version of HybEx.
What's HybEx for?
The tool has two main functionalities:
- Extract Template: It automatically extracts the template of a webpage and displays it in the active tab of the browser.
- Toggle View: It swaps from the original webpage to the Template webpage and vice versa.
Which browsers does it HybEx support?
Right now it works with Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
How can I install it?
After saving the add-on file in a suitable location on your computer:
Firefox:
- Enter "about:extensions" in the navigation bar
- From the settings cog
, open Install Add-on From File
Chrome:
- Enter "chrome://extensions" in the navigation bar
- Drag and drop the zip file into the window
Opera:
- Go to the browser menu and click in extensions. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+E
- Drag and drop the zip file into the window
How do I use HybEx?
Once installed, you can browse on the Internet as usual. Then, when you want to extract the template of a webpage, you must just press the "Extract Template" button and the tool automatically will extract the Template. The template will be displayed in the browser as any other webpage.
I've installed HybEx and in some pages it takes a long time to extract the template. Why?
In some cases extracting the template can be computionally expensive, so it depends on a many factors. If you find some troubles with certain webpages you can report us those webpages where HybEx does not work. It will be very helpful.
Who developed HybEx?
This software has been designed and implemented in the computer science labs of the UPV.
