I was born in Valencia (Spain) in June 1973. I finished my studies of Computer Science (physics systems speciality) in 2000. Then I carried out my PhD studies on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern recognition. Finally, I got my PhD degree on June 2006 about automatic MRI brain segmentation.

I am member of the IBIME research group where I lead the Medical Imaging Area. IBIME group is located at the Instituto de Aplicaciones de las Tecnologías de la Información  y de la Comunicaciones Avanzadas (ITACA) of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
