As Ana Olivera1holds, we keep in mind that
“the intangible should not be treated only as a resource, as a
commodity, it is necessary to recognize and preserve their many
other values, to truly be sustainable and authentic”.
These values are those which potentiate and give meaning to their own
tradition. And are those who try to promote from the town of Titaguas about
its “Mojiganga”.
The “Exmo. Ayuntamiento” of the village has the witness of history, ensuring the
normal development and survival of this cultural event committing themselves
to protect the conservation of their customary and traditional values.
Its concern is keeping the authenticity of the dance, in its transmission,
presentation and social outreach.
This dance has a value and is involving a large human group, in charge of
materializing the tradition, which reflects the totality of factors that surround it
(dancers, tailors, musicians, etc.).
It´s not an act that excludes other traditions, but an element that integrates the
other signs and local agencies.
So, sustainable development of this dance set as the value of transmission that
has arrived our days keeping maximum purity, and it´s makes us transmitters
to the future generations.
