was to approach the social function of contemporary
Uruguayan mural, from the knowledge of valuation and social uses Uruguayan
cultural heritage. This suggest-ed a new way of approach to world’s knowledge
management-intervention heritage, whom is of special relevance, different
stakeholders who share these sites. These circumstances made it necessary
to address the research from a sociohistorical and anthropological sight,
which in turn conditions the methodology to be used, combin-ing the study of
documentary sources (file research and analysis of bibliographic sources), the
semi-directed interviews (groups of informants related to academics, cultural,
cultural organizations and artists) and participatory action research (IAP),
becoming the latter, as an essential tool in the research and integration of the
commu-nity in the project.
