Sustainable Cultural Cluster based on Ancient
Theatres

The main objetive of this work is to inidicate the guidelines to be followed
to achive bottom-up development throght the use of the historical and
archaelogical heritage of a region. Specifically we study the potencial of
ancient theatres in order to promote a Cultural Cluster. The cultural cluster is
characterized by collecting in a territory a range of cultural activities tan can
take very different forms, cluster focused on activities related to the performing
arts like concerts and festivals of music and theatre. The objetive will be to
determine which set of activities could define a cultural offering to the zone,
able to generate a level of employment that increases the standard of living
of the population. The cultural offering in the cluster must have its origin in
products and activities that show the specificy and the idiosyncrasy of its people
and society. Also the products and services must be attractive for both local
residents and nacional and international tourism. The main goal of the paper
is to determine the lines of action top ut in place sustainable cultural cluster,
in this case based on cultural heritage. It should be note that we are looking
for bottom-up development when ac-tions should be implemented from the
bottom, wherein the participatory mechanisms are very important. In this case,
the strategies and actions must be defined by the very agents who must carry
them out; these agents are those who best know the characteris-tics of the
territory. With the private sector the intervention of the public sector will be
necessary to facilitate the mechanisms for cooperation and development of
the cluster. Our goals include implementing the definition of cultural activities
