The cultural good practices activities in ancient
theatres in Europe generators of economic
development

This presentation will try to provide information about projects completed
successfully as a result of the implementation of cultural management practices
devel-oped in the ancient theatres of Europe. The object of our study is based
on eleven theatres of seven different nationalities: the theatre of Orange in
France, the theatres of Mérida and Sagunto in Spain, the theaters of Taormina
and Siracusa in Italy, the thea-tre of Amman in Jordan, the Greek theater of
Kourion in Cyprus, the theatres of Herodes Aticcus and Epidaurus in Greece,
the theatre of Bosra in Syria, and finally, the theatre of Aspendos in Turkey. The
consideration of good practices carried out in the ancient theatres is based on
three different aspects: cultural synergies with the environment, management
and financing of the theatre and the cultural events carried out therein, and
finally, diffusion and communication carried out in terms of historical heritage
and, dealing with the events and the activities taking place in them. When
analyzings the cultural synergies of these theatres with the environment, we
review aspects as their integration into the local culture, their contribution to
the cultural training, their performance activities for different audiences, their
interaction with other heritage local or festivities and their cultural impact.
In terms of the management and financing of theatre and cultural events
developed on them, we analized their capacity, the nature of their management
private, institutional or shared, the private sponsors or partnership, if they
have subsidies or partnership and public sponsors, and finally, the insertion
in cultural policies developed in the region. Finally, we study the diffusion and
