Summary:

This video models a separately-excited DC motor driving a rotating load with some inertia and some friction torque (linear). The result is a 2nd-order linear state-space model.

If electrical dynamics is considered negligible (inductance tending to zero), then a reduced-order model will ensue, as discussed in video [motccmodel2EN].
